About This Beer
It takes some serious prowess to get a mint Stout just right. Fortunately, the crew at Perennial were more than up to the task. To craft 17 (2022), they layered a chocolate-y base with cocoa nibs and dried mint leaves for rich flavors like a Thin Mint cookie, while a bit of silky lactose keeps it all creamy.
Tasting Notes
This sumptuous Imperial Stout is basically a liquid Andes Mint –– velvety currents of gorgeously balanced chocolate and mint.

Very difficult to do a mint stout without it tasting like mouthwash. They nailed it. Girl scout cookie. Nice roast to the stout, deep dark chocolate. Wish I bought more. As good as mint condition from bottle logic and no lactose!!

decent execution but lacked body

it's good but I get no mint...

very good first minty stout I've had that was boozy instead of light and crispy

Rich and flavorful but the mint is fairly overwhelming to the chocolate and cacao

Interesting beer! Got better as it warmed up. Mint doesn’t translate super well to beer but still solid.

Not what I was expecting from this one. Didn’t get a “thin mint” vibe at all. Just a faint mint aftertaste. Body was underwhelming. Don’t get me wrong, it’s definitely not bad..but I had high hopes and was somewhat disappointed.

Ok stout, subtle hints of mint and chocolate. Pretty average.

Loved the idea of a minty stout and the execution was everything I imagined! Tastes just like a mint chocolate candy bar or shake.

really dig on the stout base and mint shined through

I’ve only come across a small handful of mint chocolate stouts, and this was by far the best executed one. The body is not overwhelmingly heavy, and neither are the flavors artificial or cloying. It tastes exactly like the beloved Thin Mint cookie!

Great stout base with a slight mint flavor. Mint is a little artificial flavored.

disappointing. I expect more from Perennial
