2019 Bourbon Barrel Aged Dark Star - 13.1% ABV

The craft elves at Fremont created this 2019 vintage by blending 24, 18, 12, and 8-month Bourbon Barrel-Aged Dark Star Stout in 7 to 12-year-old Kentucky bourbon barrels. The brew’s roasted and chocolate malts merge beautifully with the smooth oat doses to deliver one silky Stout delight.

Alongside the malts’ chocolate character and visions of dark sugar plums, the barrel aging brings sweater-hugging warmth and notes of oak and vanilla. A whisper of caramel sweetness dances in on the finish.

Whether you’re staying up late for the big man in the red suit or just enjoying a quiet evening with the fam, this one’s best sipped in front of a fire.

2019 Bourbon Barrel Aged Dark Star Coffee - 12.4% ABV

It’s Fremont’s Bourbon Barrel Dark Star blend aged for the same amount of time, but with the addition of coffee for added depth!

Notes of fresh-ground espresso waltz alongside rich, dark chocolate, making for a delectable mocha experience. It’s punctuated with oaky vanilla and leather-wrapped molasses notes from the Kentucky bourbon barrels. The brew finishes dry, making it all too easy to dive back in for more sips.

Will you use it to warm up after a day out in the cold, or will you skip your morning cup of Joe and kick off the holiday with this coffee-brewed enchanter? Either way, this variant is meant for long, savoring sips.

2019 Bourbon Barrel Aged Dark Star Chocolate-Vanilla-Maple - 13.1% ABV

The Chocolate-Vanilla-Maple variant of BBADS is one of Fremont’s most complex Stouts to date. As with its coffee counterpart, the brewers start with their custom Bourbon Barrel-Aged Dark Star blend. Then, they bring the brew’s flavors to soaring new heights with additions of chocolate, vanilla, and maple syrup!

Each sip starts with succulent maple aromas and pleasant chocolate sweetness on the tongue, quickly deepening into semi-sweet mocha flavors. Notes of dark cherry and vanilla-soaked oak waft in right before the rich, dry finish with mild hop bitterness.

The old elf himself would skip delivering presents if it meant getting to spend the evening with this flavorfully nuanced sipper!
