This is the brewery that effectively introduced Farmhouse Wild Ales to America! That was ten years ago, and while other breweries have joined them on the craft beer mainstage, Jester King continues to stand, front and center, with an impressive trophy case to show for it!

And it’s all thanks to highly complex and nuanced innovations like Spon Cab Franc & Zinfandel.

This bright brew is a blend of 2- and 3-year-old Farmhouse Ales refermented with Cabernet Franc and Zinfandel wine grapes. After three months on the wine grapes, the blend achieves total dryness — even before bottle fermentation. All the while, it develops a Texas-sized funky complexity, a punch of mouth-watering pucker, and ever-deeper nuances of fine red wine.

According to one Untappd fan, today’s 4.31 UT-rated delicacy is “Blurring the lines of beer and wine in the best way.” Others are calling it:
