A Note on This Beer
Ranked in the Top 5 Oatmeal Stouts in the world on BeerAdvocate, this brew is the epitome of opulence!
To craft BBADS, the legendary Seattle brewery blended Stouts aged 8, 12, 18, and 24 months in seven to twelve-year-old Kentucky bourbon barrels. Each full-bodied quaff carries immeasurable depth — decadent dark chocolate swirled with coffee liquor, rich caramel, and whispers of woody spice.
A year in the cellar only adds to the complexity, deepening the cocoa and oak notes.
Tavour strictly supports independent beer. Fremont Brewing is certified independent by the Brewers Association

Fremont can do no wrong when it comes to stouts. I always jump at the opportunity to snag up their offerings on Tavour. this stout is rich and velvety, thick and viscous. the barrel aging makes this such a well rounded beer that you almost forget the ABV. enjoy the toasty malts, vanilla, chocolate and tobacco flavors as they okay with the oak and bourbon!

Nose is a little boozy. Taste: chocolate, bourbon spice, some black cherry in the background with a bit of caramel. As it warms, vanilla joins in, caramel becomes more prominent and start to round into some cola notes.

needs a side of ranting homeless guy to make it complete

Very good stout with complex flavors but a bit more bitter than the 2018 I previously enjoyed. A bit overrated.
