About This Beer
To make it, they blended brews from some of their favorite and most notable casks of 2023 — Imperial Stout aged 40 months in Heaven Hill Bourbon and Imperial Stout aged 21 months in Heaven Hill Rye barrels.
Tasting Notes
Intense notes of candied fig and caramel-drizzled date from the younger Stout fold into a labyrinthine oaky vanilla and top-shelf whiskey barrel character imparted from the older one. Bold pumpernickel nuances and roasty malts rise underneath, with a subtle kiss of dark cherry accentuating the luxurious flavors. All of it masterfully hiding a 15.64% ABV.
