A Note on This Beer
Cicadas are remarkable creatures. You may have heard of the famous Brood X, and how they rose from the depths of the earth in May, after dwelling below for 17 years.
Ferndale Project celebrated this glorious resurrection with their IPA, Spring Buzz. Now, they’re looking ahead to the next generation of musical bugs with today’s amped up Triple IPA, 2038 Rebirth.
They double dry-hopped this 10% ABV banger with Nelson Sauvin, Rakau, Citra, and Vic Secret for some seriously luscious tropicality.
Zesty aromas of grapefruit and oranges waft from its golden pour, followed by the taste of ripe mangoes and passionfruit. The mouthfeel is smooth and creamy, wrapping your tongue in luscious foam and sweet, thirst-quenching juice. An earthy dankness swims throughout, finishing with the lip-smacking pith of hops.
Early tasters on UT are slurping up this hopbomb to the tune of a 4.45 rating! @Doug B. raves, “Deliciously Dank. This is a winner!” And @Mel agrees, “This is so smooth. Does not taste like a ten percenter.”
If you can watch the cicadas from where you live, awesome! Crack open a can and marvel at their beauty. But if you don’t, that’s cool, too! You can still enjoy every last drop of this mouthwatering brew.
Ferndale Project may be just over a year old, but local hazeheads give every single one of their NE-style IPAs 4+ ratings on Untappd!
