A Note on This Beer
Last year’s 3-Way IPA from Fort George was one of the most coveted IPAs ever to cross our table.
The 2015 edition of 3-Way looks well poised to challenge its predecessor’s spot on this envied list.
In this year’s 3-Way, Fort George teams up with pFriem and Georgetown to deliver sledgehammers full of hoppy flavor in a tight, sessionable, 5.7% ABV IPA. These collaborators are widely recognized for their crushable on-tap hits. Together this IPA superteam produces no hubris, no slack, and no fluff - their collective talent creates a lean-malted, hop-filled joyride with unique hop character.
3-Way gives off hints of the tropics with the assistance of one of the most recent additions to the hop world - Equinox. Papayas intermingle with lemons to create unusual exoticism. Sipping is more savory than fruity with elements of green peppers working with spruce and black pepper to create a original zesty kick of refreshment. With minimal malts, 3-Way finishes quenching, hoppy bitter, and dry.
Made by three NW favorites with a unique hop recently transferred from experimental fields to the big time, 3-Way is destined for greatness. Try it and see if it stacks up next to last year’s, or blows it clean out of the water.
