A Note on This Beer
There’s nothing better than a power trio: The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Sleater-Kinney, Alkaline Trio, Rush...and now, Fort George’s batch of 3-Way IPA (2021).
Every summer, these Oregonians select two IPA masters to join them in crafting a celebratory seasonal IPA. This year’s brainchild of the Fort George, Moonraker, and Varietal Beer Co. triumvirate — three of the West Coast’s best — is taking its place among the ranks of work by legendary trios.
The Crosby, Stills, and Nash of IPA craftsmanship concocted this collab with a lineup of rarely-seen Nectaron, Moutere, Motueka, and Waimea Hops all the way from New Zealand! Notes of orange, peach, and grapefruit dance on the palate over a lightly grassy pine flavor.
This may be a boozy trifecta, but plucking just 3 reviews for it is nearly impossible! I’ll do my darndest, though:
- “Seems like it just gets better every time you have one!” @Brett L.
- “Mmmmmmmm. Smooth and creamy with bold citrus and nice hoppiness!” @Sean C.
- “Excellent beer. Best I’ve had...maybe ever!” @Timeon L.
