About This Beer
To craft this treat, the FiftyFifty brewers aged a Barleywine, a Belgian Strong Ale, and their award-winning Totality Imperial Stout in bourbon barrels. Then they blended them all together into one bold and dynamic brew.
Tasting Notes
Anticipate sumptuous caramel and vanilla oak aromas to perfume the air with every full-bodied pour. The taste should follow, golden toffee and brown sugar tones cascading over nuances of chewy date, espresso, and dark chocolate. Look for hints of molasses and amaretto underneath, further obscuring the 14.5% ABV.

Solid blend that calls to mind Firestone Walker anniversary ales. Red wine-soaked, chocolate-and-caramel-covered raisins predominate, with a long finish of caramel and brown sugar. More brown sugar and raisin and less tartness and red fruit as it warms.
Waffled between a 4 (overall enjoyment) and 4.25 (technical skill) here; I gave the higher score because of the extremely long finish, which is an unusual bonus, but I will note that the overall flavor blend is not quite what I'd wish. Maybe if the brewers had used a wheatwine instead of a barleywine?

Hazy brown hue, caramel and barleywine aromas, creamy tan head, sweet brown sugar and chocolate flavors with a hint of Belgian ale spice, and a warming alcohol finish.
