About This Beer
Westbrook’s complex 7th Anniversary Stout is blended from brews aged in Maker’s Mark bourbon and Laphroaig Scotch barrels!
The South Carolina crew began with a roasty Imperial Stout base aged for 42 months in bourbon barrels. Then they balanced it with the layered, peaty complexity of a Stout that spent a whopping 54 months in Laphroaig casks before conditioning with cacao nibs and sea salt.
Tasting Notes
Swirl a glass of this sublime blend, and cocoa aromas waft out, accented by a smoky brogue. Nuances of woody vanilla and boozy caramel flow through the sumptuously chocolatey brew. The oak and malt flavors gain extra depth thanks to the subtle, briny whisper of a pinch of salt.
