Love the coffee balance within this stout. A slight sweetness at the end that brings me to my next sip.

Roastiness coming from the coffee. Would prefer it being a bit thicker, but definitely boozy. Let it warm some and the flavors came out more. Rye was a nice change of pace.

Really an all around fantastic coffee stout. Very dark and bold. Has all the things I look for in a stout with the coffee flavor I love. The coffee doesn’t overwhelm the stout taste either

Decent but overall underwhelming. These days if you're going ti come out with a big coffee beer... it better deliver in a BIG way. This beer only brought its game to about 72-76%. Decent but not enough

Very nice stout aromas. Bitter, but not overly so. Great chocolate flavors. The rye gives this a really interesting end flavor. I’m definitely a big fan of using rye in a stout after tasting this.

You don’t always anticipate a lot from a beer with a gimmicky name. But I’m happy to report that Java the Hutt delivered way above my expectations. Nice chocolate and coffee roasted aromas. Really well-balanced flavor the roast malt, rye and the coffee is a nice accompaniment. Just a little too sweet for my palate. Beautiful dark dark color, very opaque and near black.

Aged for a year, but not at all diminished; it retained all of its fudgy, roasty, slightly spicy and fruity, and altogether indulgent glory. Sip after sip, it’s everything that Jabba would want.
