About This Beer
To make it, Gabe Fletcher and his legendary team let the famed base Barleywine mature for 21 months in a mix of Elijah Craig 12-year and Russel's Reserve Bourbon barrels, transferring the brew to fresh barrels two times throughout the aging process. Then they packaged it in limited-edition wax-dipped cans!
Tasting Notes
Look forward to notes of caramel-drenched fig mingling with brown sugar. Rich baking chocolate undertones should ripple throughout, leading to opulent layers of vanilla oak and bourbon on the backend. And like all ATWD releases, we expect the warming 18.21% ABV to be virtually undetectable!
