About This Beer
To create batch #6, Gabe Fletcher and his crew aged their luscious base beer for 32 months in Buffalo Trace, cognac, Russell Reserve bourbon, and Hemingway rye whiskey barrels. And because they moved the beer into fresh barrels four times throughout the aging process, it soaked up every nuance of whiskey and cognac hidden in the cracks of the oak.
Tasting Notes
Expect big barrel notes up front with nuances of whiskey and vinous cognac. Hints of toffee, caramel, and candied date round out the sip on the way to a shockingly smooth finish at 21.41% ABV.
