About This Beer
The crew racked a rich Barleywine base first into Willett rye barrels, then into 15 Year Calumet Farms bourbon casks, and finally to Heaven Hill 15 Year malt whiskey barrels for a total of 30 months spent slumbering in spirit-soaked oak. Since the beer was aged in sequence rather than blended, the expression of each barrel is fully represented in the final flavor profile.
Tasting Notes
Here’s the deal: You can expect every swig to swell with all the treacly tones of a sticky toffee pudding. Caramel, date, and brown sugar notes ought to envelop dark molasses, raisin, and dried fig nuances, while oaky vanilla whispers should culminate in a spicy rye finish.
And here’s the devil: It also carries a powerful 23.28% ABV.
