A Note on This Beer
The haze-experts at Adroit Theory describe today’s brand-new Abandon All Hope as “our juiciest double IPA yet.”
I can practically hear the Black Hearts Society shouting with joy! That’s the brewery’s exclusive members-only club; they’re the lucky few who don’t have to fret about this small-batch brewery’s reputation for selling out new releases before they've even finished brewing them.
And, as I’m sure the Black Hearts already suspected, Adroit didn’t abandon any tropical-fruit-forward hop varieties in the making of this boozy juicebomb! They jammed and crammed this mango slushy-like quencher with loads of Mosaic, Vic Secret, Azecca, El Dorado, and Moutere Hops, followed by a splash of lactose!
Yep, that’s FIVE hop varietals, all dexterously double-dry-hopped up by some seriously top-notch IPA masters. With each sip, hints of zesty tangerine tango with notes of ripe passionfruit and cara cara oranges. On the finish, an ever-so-subtle tickle of pine urges another silky-smooth sip.
Sure, this brew might take its name from Dante’s Inferno, but it reminds me of a totally different section of the divine comedy — one that’s light, cheery, and all-around a heck of a lot more fun.
‘Cause, besides the Adroit taproom and here at Tavour, that’s really the only place you’ll find a DIPA this infused with tropical tang!
