A Note on This Beer
We haven’t seen a drop of Absence of Light from 4 Hands since waaaaaay back in 2019. Which means it’s been nearly six years since we’ve enjoyed its flavors of peanut butter and chocolate.
That’s far too long. Like, five and half years too long. Because this stuff tastes like a Tagalong Girl Scout cookie with a 7.1% ABV.
To make it, the St. Louis brewers started with a base of chocolate and roasted malts, then infused it with plenty of gooey peanut butter. And they topped it all off with a ribbon of lactose for a smooth, almost creamy-sweet finish.
Girl Scouts don’t start slinging their cookies until January. If you need a hit of Tagalong goodness to tide you over until then, this delectable brew has you covered!
