A Note on This Beer
If you’re the type of person who buys every single box of peanut butter cookies from the Girl Scouts when they come knocking, I’m right there with you.
If you’re the type of person who REFUSES to get anything other than peanut butter milkshakes every time you and your friends go to the ice cream shop, then you’re my kind of people!
And the crew at Missouri’s 4 Hands Brewing knows what me and my people need — Absence of Light Peanut Butter Chocolate Milk Stout. They’ve been crafting decadent AF Dark Beers like this one that knock it so far outta the candy bar park, Thrillist even praises them for their “excellence in Stoutsmanship!”
Which is why choco-nutty fiends like us NEED to have today’s rich and chocolatey peanut butter Stout in our lives!
Draft Magazine named it one of their 5 Most Wanted Candy Beers because, with Absence of Light, what you see is what you get: a peanutty, chocolatey, smooth-sipping can of creamy-sweet heaven!
The brewers use hefty additions of Chocolate malts to build the rich, dark base backed by notes of smooth caramel. Then, they top-off the roasty, complex character of cocoa and coffee with a layer of creamy peanut butter for a sweet finish.
Absence of Light has got the goods that PB and choco-fiends like us crave. Those Girl Scouts can’t bring you a peanut butter cookie with a chipper 7.1% ABV to back it up, now can they?
No, they can’t! And until the day comes when someone will knock on my door with a box full of boozy cookies or a frosty PB and chocolate milkshake, I’m just gonna sip on this 4.09 UT-rated Stout and dream of a world where candy bars are Dark Beer are everywhere.
