A Note on This Beer
*This small-batch beer is already sold out at the brewery!*
Known for delicate stone fruit and floral aromatics as well as ample acidity, Spanish Albariño grapes are sought-after by winemakers around the globe.
After trying Cellador’s Aliena, we predict the lust for Albariño will soon extend to the world’s craft brewers!
You’ll need some fine stemware and a comfy chair to park in for this bottle — the Rustic Farmhouse Ale offers one beautiful, savor-worthy tasting experience.
Starting with a Brett Saison base, the brewers added Albariño grape skins (from last year’s harvest in Paso Robles, CA) during primary barrel fermentation. Then, they bottled it up this past February with a dose of honey, allowing the beer to condition and become more exquisitely complex with every passing month!
Open it now, and each sip flows with nuances of clover sweetness dancing amid notes of barnyard funk and white grape. A playful, citrusy tartness runs throughout the sip, punctuated by hints of oak and earthy minerality on the finish.
