About This Beer
The crew crafted this Wild Ale with West Texas-grown barley and wheat malted at Blacklands Malts, Hill Country well water, and ambient native yeasts. They also hopped this funky sipper with whole cone Cascade grown by a local homebrewer and aged in JK’s own barn! And after coolshipping the wort, they aged it all in oak barrels for about two years.
Tasting Notes
A complex bouquet of mixed citrus, barnyard nuances, and oak rises out of the glass. Bright hints of lemon zest and hay define the front of the sip, with a balanced, earthy, horse blanket funk further along. Woody nuances and delicate florals twinkle alongside it all, making for a fascinating brew that’ll be delightful on a warm evening outdoors or when you’re lingering over a meal.
