Baloo the bear from The Jungle Book included the paw paw fruit among his bare necessities of life. And after tasting today’s Fruited Wild Ale from Allagash, we’re inclined to agree.

The crew at Allagash started off with a slightly funky Blonde Sour Ale, then added piles paw paws to the mix. Every sip overflows with nuances of tropical pineapple and mango, with tangy lemon zest sparkling around the edges. A hint of earthy complexity unfurls on the finish to keep everything beautifully balanced.
