About This Beer
Each limited-release Alpha Abstraction IPA only drops once and sells out FAST! This is the series that rocketed Wild Leap to craft beer fame, helping them earn the coveted Best New Brewery Award from USA Today.
Tasting Notes
This carefully selected combo of super-concentrated Cryo Hops creates massive aromas of pineapple, mango, and fresh-squeezed OJ. Apricot and peach come through on the sip, until a bit of dank melon balances out the finish.

Hmmm… absolutely loved some of the other abstractions with deep 4 ratings. This one barely crossed over; odd peach fruit overtones complicated my mouth. Ok, but not amazing.

great beer. nice flavor, not too hoppy. I could drink more of this one.

alpha abs ration equals must try.
;/). my first impression is to say this is a
decent IPA, but that’s really only fair amongst world class IPA’s. just enough bitterness to leave no doubt and no single dominate flavor or aroma; just “hops”. I want to call it rotten(funky) grapefruit. while that light kit sound good it is.

Everytime an Alpha Abstraction comes up on Tavour I have to get a couple because they do not miss. 19-0.

2nd beer from the Alpha Abstraction series I’ve had and both were excellent! Wish I got in earlier…they’re at 19 already!

Hell yes! Hats off to the folks at “the Leap” for the whole ‘Alpha’ series. There is no better way to showcase the attributes of the variety of hops available to the brewing community. I can’t say that I’ve had a bad one yet. I hope that these ales awaken the naysayers to the idea that an ipa can be enjoyable without being bitter.
