A Note on This Beer

Colorado has so many fantastic breweries, it’s no wonder that The Great American Beer Festival is held there each year.

It’s easy to get lost in such a sea of tasty suds, but not if you’re Black Project!

Eater named them to their 25 essential Colorado Breweries and the Denver Post named them 2x Colorado Brewery of the Year!

They’re earning all of this praise because they craft Fruited Sour standouts like today’s newly released ARGUS with Passion Fruit & Vanilla.

This tropical creamsicle goes down way too easily with a crushable 5% ABV; it’s easy to lose track of how many you’ve had! The brewery invites you to “Irradiate your taste buds with a burst of passion fruit followed by waves of vanilla.”

And I would RSVP to that invite pronto if I were you, this beer is delicious, and we have less than 80 cases to go around!

When I first took a sip; the power of the sour just overtook the senses. Body shriveled immediately, the power was as intense as Frieza getting wrecked by the Spirit Bomb.

Approachable but nothing overwhelming.

Very sour, almost reminded me of olden warhead times. Loved it for that. As far as the passion fruit and vanilla, I feel like I could only barely notice it, though the passion fruit a little more than the vanilla. This could have been because the sourness was so strong it overpowered other flavors. I can smell it better than taste it. Still really enjoyed this beer, though.

Very Simple but elegant Taste that you don’t expect. It starts off with a nice sour hit straight to the pallet of Passionfruit and washes down on the back end with a wave of vanilla. Overall it’s a very drinkable beer, and I only drink sours.

Pucker up, beer lovers. As if Black Project didn’t produce tart enough sours, they decided to toss Passionfruit into one— and boy oh BOY does my tongue love it.

Whole lotta passion fruit. Sourness is harsh at first, but it goes down smooth. Vanilla is at the end, hard to pick up, but it sticks around on your tongue.

Very tart and sour but great flavor. Passion fruit is strong up front but finishes with a nice vanilla flavor. Salty at the beginning but sweet at the end. My favorite sour I’ve had to date!
