A Note on This Beer
Every time I’m invited to a bottle share, I feel pressured to bring the best brew of the night because I’m the guy from Tavour!
Usually, I hold my own. But, if I’d snagged today’s 2013 B-Bomb from Fremont Brewing a little earlier, I could have REALLY blown some minds at the last beer-geek gathering!
I would’ve winked at all the disbelieving Stout fans and casually mentioned that I had the wax-dipped bottle stashed away in my cellar for years. They’d never suspect that I just got it!
Any bottle of B-Bomb is bound to impress — it’s the #5 best beer of its style on BeerAdvocate! But, a vintage bottle that’s been mellowed into silky smoothness by 6 years of aging in Fremont’s cellar is something truly special.
This 2013 version even won Gold at the Washington Beer Awards when it was released, and it’s only gotten more deliciously complex as it’s aged.
Open it up, and bask in aromas of cinnamon and cocoa with overtones of warming whiskey. Take a sip, and prepare to be overwhelmed by a river of vanilla and fudge. There’s a slight coffee note, but time has polished off its bitter edge leaving nothing but creamy mocha on the finish.
Whether you share this bottle with a gaggle of beer geek buddies, stash it away for a special occasion, or savor it solo, this vintage brew is bound to impress.
Even if the only tastebuds it tantalizes are your own.
Rated 98/100 on BeerAdvocate where it’s the #5 American Strong Ale; 4.35 on Untappd
*We’ve done our best to procure as many bottles as Fremont was willing to part with, but we apologize in advance for not being able to accommodate everyone.
