A Note on This Beer
One year I shared a bottle of Fremont’s famous B-Bomb with my family during Christmas dinner. Now, every year, all I hear is “where is the yeti beer? Bring out the yeti beer!”
Frankly, I don’t blame them! Formerly known as “Bourbon Abominable” and still adorned with a sasquatch-like guardian, B-Bomb is a dark, decadent, must-try masterpiece. It’s ranked the #5 American Strong Ale in the World on BeerAdvocate!
And, after years of rest in Fremont’s ultra-elusive cellar, we’re sharing the 2019 vintage with you!
To craft it, the Seattle crew blended a variety of Strong Ales barrel-aged 9, 12, and 24 months in eight to twelve-year-old bourbon barrels. After two years in the bottle, this B-Bomb’s opulent complexity mellows the 14% ABV until it’s smooth as melted dark chocolate, and just as rich!
Each velvety sip courses with café opulence — a creamy dark chocolate mocha swirled with caramel and ribbons of whiskey vanilla.
This year, if you want to be on everybody’s nice list and truly spread a cup of cheer, all you have to do is give a little pour of the yeti beer!
#5 American Strong Ale in the World on BeerAdvocate with a world-class 98/100 score; rated 4.37 on Untappd
