About This Beer
The crew at Listermann started with a rich Imperial Blonde Stout, which they treated with Madagascar vanilla beans, freshly roasted coffee beans, and cacao powder for all the flavor of a White Russian. Then they let this dude abide in fresh Heaven Hill bourbon barrels for two years, really tying the beer together with vanilla oak accents.
Tasting Notes
Creamy chocolate and coffee collide with decadent creme brûlée on every sip. Wafts of wood spice and whiskey caramel carry after. But hey, careful, man, there’s a boozy beverage here with an 11% ABV to keep your mind, you know, uh, limber.

if they were going for a White Russian flavor they failed miserably but it’s not a bad beer if you’re not expecting that. decent flavors, very sweet.

Barrell notes, you can tell it was a lighter stout at first, the vanilla is great and smooth and mixes with a bit of chocolate, I don't get the coffee though. Currently it pours a dark black-red color.

Pours dark brownish black without much foam. Smells like vanilla and bourbon. A slightly bubbly, syrupy feel. Has a slightly smoky sweet caramel taste with a bunch of bourbon and an oaky aftertaste.

Super Strong—I was not prepared for it. Great design of the bottle. Not too bitter. Just a heavy stout. Really great taste though
