About This Beer
The Icarus crew started by brewing a silky Milk Stout base with “an overwhelming amount of cocoa” and rich Black Malts. Then, they let it luxuriate in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels for a whopping 23 months before conditioning it on a decadent combo of cacao, Ugandan vanilla beans, and marshmallows.
Tasting Notes
The sip starts out giving serious toasted s’more vibes, with rich chocolate and creamy mallow notes swirling overtop a bed of roasty malts. Then comes sophisticated smacks of barrel char and top-shelf whiskey, adding sublime depth and lingering on the palate long after the ultra-smooth finish.
