About This Beer
It starts as a blend of Imperial Milk Stout aged in Basil Hayden, Willett, and 1792 bourbon barrels. Then the Old Irving crew soaked it all in decadent brunch tones with additions of vanilla, cacao nibs, Hexe coffee, and maple syrup!
Tasting Notes
It’s like a starting the day off with a double stack of chocolate chip pancakes and a cup of joe,but even better because of that big ‘ol ABV! The espresso and bittersweet cacao nuances brilliantly accentuate the roastiness of the malts. Swirls of molasses and caramel swirl underneath, while ribbons of vanilla fade into sophisticated whispers of oak and top-shelf whiskey.

Way too sweet for me. I suspected it would be, but was hoping for a little less maple syrup sweet and a little more of all the incredible barrels they used. The balance wasn’t there for me.
