The brewers aged this pitch-black potable for 17 months in the cracks of Elijah Craig 18 Year and maple rye barrels for decadent whispers of whiskey sweetness. My first brew from Pontoon and it doesn’t disappoint. Thick in body with noticeable barrel character, plum, and chocolate. While sweet, it provides a playfully bitter bite (think puppy) to balance things out.
