About This Beer
To craft it, the brewers started with a chocolatey base aged for 26 months in a mix of bourbon and rye barrels. Then they conditioned the brew on espresso beans from Proud Hound Coffee and hazelnuts.
Tasting Notes
Gorgeous mocha aromas perfume the air with every pour. On the swig, sumptuous dark cocoa notes melt into toasted hazelnut tones for all the deliciousness of a Ferrero Rocher truffle. Caramelly espresso nuances seep into hints of vanilla oak underneath, with a luxurious, lingering nuttiness on the finish. Careful though — all that café decadence completely obscures the bold 15% ABV!
