About This Beer
The River North Brewery team aged their chocolate Imperial Porter, Midnight Hike, in bourbon barrels for months to craft this rich delicacy.
Tasting Notes
Creamy chocolate swims within the lush body, creating a rich and textured brew full of malty flavors and sweet cocoa. It finishes with complex oaky vanilla notes.

good. more like a stout than a porter.

It’s certainly what it purports to be, but man the barrel flavor was just too intense for me

another solid BA offering from river north. balanced barrel, expected stout chocolate and coffee notes, and excellent 12oz serving.

Absolutely delicious. Dark chocolate notes and very smooth, would definitely buy again. A bit on the heavier side for a porter but still tastes amazing.

River North continues to be my favorites brewery going. And this one was delicious. Only reason I’d dock it is because the chocolate notes were more prominent here.

the chocolate was off the charts, it’s like I wasn’t even drinking beer

Magnificent. The chocolate notes come through rich and smooth, without overpowering the bourbon flavor.

Thin espresso-like head, chocolate aroma with whiskey notes, dark, dry chocolate taste, and warming alcohol finish.

First taste is Raisinets. Alcohol also obvious. Would drink at a party, would not buy from the grocer. Husband tastes pennies, but everyone may find differe
nt flavors arising in this complex beer.
