A Note on This Beer
When Cincinnati craft fans finally got a taste of Rhinegeist’s palate-perplexing Penguin Bourbon Barrel Aged Blonde Stout, some of them were...well, perplexed!
Like James S. on Facebook who exclaimed: “You see the bottle, and think “Stout,” then boom! Your mind is blown!”
Others, like Dan R. on Untappd, were mighty impressed with this 11% ABV bottle of bourbon-y goodness: “Damn, this is a big beer. The bourbon flavor is strong with this one.”
And then, there were the folks who were so blown away, they were simply at a loss for words:
“Wow!” said Drew T., awestruck by the swirling layers of oaky vanilla and rich, roasty espresso brimming from this boozy, blonde behemoth.'
“Yuuuuuuum!” cried Lisa K., who can’t wait to indulge in Penguin’s notes of chocolate-covered toffee and caramelized pecans that mingle with splashes of whiskey spice.
“OH. MY. GOD.” screamed Jimmy W. as he scoured trade forums for any way to get his hands on another bottle of today’s beer, ranked in the Top 20 Imperial Blonde Stouts in the World on UT.
But what Jimmy doesn’t know is that except for three lucky bottleshops, finding any of Rhinegeist’s small-batch creations outside the Midwest is pretty much impossible. And unless he happens to be a Tavour member and is lucky enough to snag a bottle from the tiny stash of less than 50 cases we secured, he might be stuck searching for a long time.
Don’t be like Jimmy.
Grab a bottle of Penguin BBA Blonde Stout right now and get a taste of the Bourbon-soaked sipper driving craft fans crazy.
