About This Beer
They say that practice makes perfect and — while Evil Twin started out strong from the jump — they’ve certainly been practicing: today’s brew marks Batch Number One Thousand Brewed in NYC! To make it, the team crafted a big, malty Old Ale with maple syrup, then conditioned it with even more.
Tasting Notes
The signature woodsy sweetness, with its whiff of smoke, beautifully blends into the caramelly and nutty flavors of the base beer, filling each sweet sip with pecan pie and cola notes. Underneath all those desserty nuances is a massive, yet barely-discernible, 13% ABV.

Very sweet. Definitely a sipper. Not a lot of complexity. But solid. Bottle says drink fresh but I think it would age well.

a little sweeter than I expected but very nice malty flavor no sign of the 13%

A decent beer but very surprising to be 13% because it didn't seem like it. I enjoyed mine but don't think it'll get it again.

Super, super, super sweet, almost too sweet. The maple masked everything else going on here. And yes, the ABV was amazingly masked here.

too sweet

More sweet than anything else, not bad but not great. If you hanker for a sweet dark brew with a kick, this will hit your spot. The 13% is completely hidden.
