About This Beer
To craft this treat, the Southern Grist crew started with a rich base before aging it for 20 months in Elijah Craig bourbon barrels. Then they layered it with candied pecans, cacao nibs, and salted caramel for all the deliciousness of a chocolate turtle.
Tasting Notes
Sumptuous currents of dark cocoa cascade over golden toffee and sweet nutty tones on every thick swig. Hints of woody vanilla and barrel spice swirl throughout, adding oaky depth, before a final flood of fudgy flavor.
