About This Beer
Since 2013, Reuben’s has produced BBIS with a British specialty malt recipe that they hail as “The OG”. In the 2020 edition, they took that OG bill, and blended brews in 10 and 12-year bourbon barrels. Some aged for one year, some closer to two. The result? A deeply complex, decadent brew that resembles the quality Reuben’s is known for.
Tasting Notes
Each taste begins with rich, dark notes of milk chocolate from the oat and malt blend. Laces of vanilla and a light char on the back come through from the barrel aging. Added complexity from the cellar life bolsters complex notes of caramel in the back of the tongue, too!
