About This Beer
This Belgian-style Brown Ale is brimming with enough Nicaraguan coffee beans to put Starbucks out of business! The roasty espresso blends with the base’s malts and caramel nuances for cozy sips that will transport your taste buds to a local cafe.
Tasting Notes
Cocoa nibs and Mexican vanilla beans sweeten the brew as a melange of spices blends with brown sugar sweetness for a warming rootiness and complexity at the end of each gulp. If it weren’t for the 7.8% ABV, you might mistake this can for an iced mocha with a dusting of cinnamon!

I didn’t love this one. I think it’s more my distaste for brown ales than this certain brew, but my hopes that the masterminds at Taxman could elevate this style just didn’t happen.

Smooth, but unless it’s ice cold, it’s reminiscent of an old, burnt pot of coffee. Not as bitter as most other coffee ales.

Creamy head, sweet coffee and roasted malt aromas, chocolate, coffee, and vanilla tastes, silky, and a caramel finish.

Lots of coffee in aroma. A bit less in flavor with brown sugar and a touch of cacao nibs and vanilla. Nice balance of flavors. Definitely multi with a bit of sweetness and strength. Delicious! 🇮🇱🇺🇸

The brewing process is the only thing that separates this from being called a coffee stout. It’s still a flavorful brew, but I don’t think it stood out from the beer versions very much.

A pretty good Coffee Brown Ale. A little more bitterness than I expected in the aftertaste, but not bad.

Translucent brown color. Earthy toasted malt aroma. Notes of coffee and dark chocolate. Flavor is sweet, earthy, toasted malt and dark roasted coffee. Hints of vanilla, brown sugar and pumpernickel bread. Rich and malty, through and through.
