About This Beer
For their 12th Anniversary brew, Crooked Stave opted for an American Barleywine. Expect a more bitter, hop-forward character than its UK cousin with plenty of tropical nuance courtesy of Citra and Mosaic Hops. Underneath, however, you can still expect a rich, maltiness more charming than a prince.
Tasting Notes
Enticing floral aromas perfume the air like an enchanted rose with every bronze-hued pour. On the sip, golden caramel flows into vibrant tangerine and guava tones. Grapefruit pith and a pinch of pepper rise on the end in refreshing contrast. An invisible 10% ABV swims throughout.

Yup, this is an American Barleywine. Caramel and pine in the aroma. Taste follows aroma with the grapefruit pith and pine notes even more aggressive.
