In my humble, dark beer lovin’ opinion, 2021 was the year of the Stout. And what better way to celebrate than by bundling up some of our best memories of the style!

Perennial Artisan Ales - Abraxas Vanilla (2021) - 11.5% ABV - 1x750ml bottle

Abraxas is the king of the Pastry Stout court. With 2021’s Vanilla Bean Abraxas, Perennial took their Pastry Stout poster child – laced with Ancho chili peppers, bittersweet cacao nibs, cinnamon, and vanilla – and gave it an even creamier body with real Madagascar vanilla beans! The result? How about a rocking 4.40 Untappd rating to go with a same-day sellout at Perennial’s taproom!

A mouth coating, opulent body brings forth massive chocolate flavors. Swirls of spice scintillate, finishing with a tongue-tickling heat. The double dose of vanilla adds to the smooth finish, washing all that spice down with luxurious ease.

Listermann Brewing - White Chocolate Mocha Discrepancies - 14% ABV - 1x12oz bottle

The friendly folks at Listermann were kind enough to craft this just for Tavour members, and boy, are we pumped with the result! The brewers fused bushels of plush raspberries, dollops of peanut butter, and ribbons of white chocolate into their belly-warming, 14% Imperial Stout base. 

Then, they upped the ante with a sprinkling of roasty mocha and a swirl of lush lactose! The velvety results have all the opulence of a peanut butter fudge truffle drizzled with white chocolate. A bright fruitiness from the juicy berries balances out each lavish sip, until a bit of dark roast coffee shines through on the finish. 

Mikkeller Brewing San Diego - Beer Geek S’mores Shake - 10.5% ABV - 1x16oz can

Another delicious exclusive brewed only for you lucky Tavoursters, Mikkeller SD brought the s’more magic just for Stout fans like you! 

They loaded Beer Geek S’mores Shake with fluffy marshmallows, nutty graham crackers, and sweet vanilla. It opens with the scent of rich dark chocolate, then envelops the tongue in sweet vanilla and warm, roasty malts. It’s like chasing a perfectly toasted s’more with a cup of freshly brewed coffee — if your coffee came with a boozy kick, that is!

Weathered Souls Brewing Co. - Black is Beautiful - 8.82% ABV - 1x16oz can

Beers are great at bringing people together — at Tavour, we know this well. But we’ve never seen a beer with the kind of impact this sumptuous Russian Imperial Stout has!

The Black Is Beautiful initiative saw thousands of breweries unite to make their own version of a unified recipe. This collective mission? “To show that the brewing community is an inclusive place for everyone of any color.”
