A Note on This Beer
Honored as one of Forbes’ Top 15 Breweries of 2017 (alongside Toppling Goliath and Tree House), pFriem Family Brewers is getting national recognition. In today’s beer, they make noise for uniting the robust rich flavors of two of craft beer’s booziest styles -- the Imperial Stout and the Belgian Ale -- to create their 11% ABV Belgian Stout.
Drawing from the Belgian-style expertise that won them 4 awards at Brussels Beer Challenge, pFriem combines a dark chocolate roasts with an Abbey-inspired twist with Belgian Ale yeast, it brings forward flavors of fresh cherries, raspberries, and dried plums.
Roasted Carafa III Malts deliver dark chocolate and rich espresso tones, while a thick tan head emits aromatic cardamom and cinnamon spice. Belgian Candi Sugar brings a subtle sweetness that tempers the lingering alcohol heat sitting on the back of your tongue, and Belgian Stout’s velvety mouthfeel makes it go down all too easy.
pFriem’s Belgian influence breathes new life and unique flavors into the American Stout, making Belgian Stout an intense new experience for Dark Beer fanatics.
