A Note on This Beer
Ask any Stout fan: the best gifts don’t come in boxes, bags, or bows — they come in barrels!
Epic Brewing knows. Every year, the dark beer masters go big with seasonal, specialty variants of their signature barrel-aged Stout, Big Bad Baptist. And today you have a shot at THREE extremely-limited variants.
A paramount tasting adventure for Stout sippers, this bundle lets you explore Epic’s spins on one base beer, aged and treated with different barrels and ingredients.
No matter how you package it — as a present, in stocking, or done up with ribbon — one of these highly sought after bottles will ensure someone’s season is merry and bright!
Take a look at these barrel-aged beauties:
Big Bad Baptist Naked Baptist - 13.1% ABV - 22oz Bottle
This is the first time Epic has brewed Baptist unadorned and aged it in bourbon barrels without additions. No cacao or coffee, just a whole lot of barrel for a sweeter brew! The result is a deliciously rich, roasty Stout with swirls of caramel, vanilla, and woody spice, all from the cask.
Big Bad Baptist In the Rye - 12.4% ABV - 22oz Bottle
In a spicy twist on the original, Epic aged this Baptist exclusively in rye barrels on top of cacao nibs and coffee. Rye melodiously melds with chocolate on every sip! Rich, earthy coffee with a peppery flair follows through to a spiced oak finish.
Double Barrel Big Bad Baptist - 12.2% ABV - 22oz Bottle
For Double Barrel, Epic took green Colombian coffee beans from a local roaster and aged them in whiskey barrels. Then, the brewers added this BA coffee to Baptist alongside cacao nibs and aged it all in more whiskey barrels!
Rich, coffee aromas escape out of every pour. Silky smooth currents of café bourbon bliss splash across the palate with each sip, like vanilla whiskey swirled with mocha.
Now’s your chance to make the season extra merry with some barrel-aged gems! But, like the holidays themselves, our 20-case stash won’t last long!
