When Epic Brewing pours their chocolate-espresso drenched Bourbon Barrel Aged Big Bad Baptist, dark beer palates feel blessed—

Deep flavor trenches filled with bourbon cocoa nibs and coffee char have made the Baptist one of the penultimate dark beers of all time. Beer Advocate Bros give it a 96 world class rating and it boasts a perfect 100 on RateBeer with over 57,000 fans declaring it a 4.23 on Untappd!

In addition to this benchmark beer and as a special celebratory tribute for 2017, we also have a small reserve of two limited run Big Bad Baptist editions:

Double Barrel Big Bad Baptist – This 12.9% ABV Imperial Stout is a dark beer monolith plain and simple. Bourbon Barrel aged coffee intensifies the whiskey experience to a staggering degree because coffee absorbs every flavor nuance in its path. Cacao nibs still plump up the taste with cocoa but the religious experience here is a complex duo of whiskey char and charred whiskey.

Barrel Aged Big Bad Baptista – Truly exotic, this Imperial Stout is a bold blend of earthy spice, bitter baker’s chocolate and boozy oak that culminates in a 12.2% ABV.

Through additions of cinnamon and pioncillo, an unrefined sugar, Baptista recreates the traditional Mexican coffee, Café de Olla. But Epic infuses this traditional elixir with a missing ingredient: whiskey, lots and lots of whiskey.
