A Note on This Beer
“It's just that bird law in this country, it's not governed by reason.” @Charlie Kelly, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Thankfully, the brewers at 2Toms aren’t beholden to reason either — they went ahead and stuffed Bird Law IPA with over 7 lbs of Columbus, Mosaic, and Simcoe Hops per barrel!
In case you don’t realize how truly bonkers that is, IPAs traditionally have around 2 lbs of hops per barrel. And, they don’t taste anywhere near as succulently smooth as today’s boundary-pushing Hazy.
Bird Law brims with fresh-squeezed juice flavors in each lush sip. Let it linger on your tongue, and you’ll get orange, pineapple, mango and even whispers of stone fruit. Medium bitterness comes through on the finish in the form of fresh-cut lemongrass.
It’ll be tough to find this kind of sunny, 7.8% ABV refreshment among your regular grocery store IPAs. But, just like those 2Toms guys, you don’t need a specific reason to load up your entire fridge with this hopbomb.
Or, if you’re like Charlie Kelly, a reason to sip away while you hang out on your couch composing songs about spiders and the nightman — that’s the spirit of Bird Law!
