About This Beer
For their 27th anniversary, the crew whipped up an extra-special version of their celebrated Black Butte Porter. They brewed it with cocoa nibs from Theo Chocolate, spices, rose water, and pomegranate molasses then blended it with apricot puree, giving it flavors reminiscent of Turkish delight. Maturation in bourbon barrels introduced a boozy warmth and sweet, woody caramel nuances.
Tasting Notes
Each medium-bodied pour invites you in with heady aromas of chocolate and fruit. Take a sip and cocoa mingles with sweet waves of bright apricot, dark dried fig, and toasty tobacco. Within the roasty malts, delicate hints of marmalade and rose lead to subtle, lingering barrel spice in the unforgettable conclusion.
