The Deschutes crew made today’s Turkish coffee-inspired Imperial Porter to celebrate 31 years of brewing incredible craft beer. And, what a delectable tribute it is!

The brewers infused the base with cold brew coffee from Third Rock Roasters, founded by Deschutes’ co-owner Scott Hughes. The rich, roasty java, along with Dutch process cocoa and a touch of cardamom, elevates the base beer into a spiced mocha symphony for your taste buds.  

The last time we had a stash, Tavour members gave Black Butte XXXI a 4.23 rating, and called it “so good!” “nicely rounded,” and “a very fantastic anniversary bottling.”

Now, after a few extra years spent maturing in the brewery’s cellar, this inky beauty is smoother and more chocolatey than ever!
