About This Beer
The Turning Point crew let their silky base age for 13 to 18 months using ex-bourbon barrels that held whiskey for 12 years before housing maple syrup for another eight months. Then they hit it with a breakfast buffet’s worth of coffee beans, maple, cacao nibs, and vanilla!
Tasting Notes
Heavy maple notes start the sip with decadence. As the syrupy sweetness swirls around the roasty blend of coffee and chocolate, you might think you're washing down fluffy hotcakes with an iced mocha. But the barrel's caramelized oak grounds the gulp with a vanilla-laced, whiskey kiss finale.

mouthfeel was thinner than I anticipated. nose wasn’t anything to write home about. but what a flavor! somehow the massive amount of adjuncts blended together to make the mouthfeel seem thicker than it was. like drinking a silky full slurry of every breakfasty sweet flavor out there. if you like rich and sweet. this is it.

All of the flavors are well balanced, except for the vanilla sweetness. Solid barrel flavor and coffee, but the vanilla dominates the second half of each sip. Regardless, it’s still delicious.

Very maple forward with some coffee undertones. Stout base is very muted.

I don’t get the high ratings. a bit thin and flavors are not high impact
