The list of ingredients in this enchantingly complex brew looks more like the cargo list from an old-time spice trading ship.

The brewers crafted this stunner with blackberry, ginger, star anise, black peppercorn, cinnamon, lime, and honeysuckle!

Pretty crazy, right? And that’s only the first half of the list. They added even more multi-faceted layers of flavor with jasmine, juniper berry, clove, hibiscus, rose, vanilla, and green cardamom!

Suffers a bit from overkill. There’s a lot going on, and maybe if you are a super taster, you can get like half of the flavors of the adjuncts. Interesting but not sure what it was trying to go for. Definitely unique, though.

nice flavor, the ginger comes out very strong in the back end which will be your deciding factor. you wither like it or you dont.

my visitors loved it, esp after tastes of spices. I liked it a lot and missed a heartier fruit profile. the alcohol content made us very chatty!

Overall, a pleasant and deceptively strong blackberry and ginger tart ale, with a hint of pepper, but beyond that there are too many adjunct flavors for any of the others to become discernible.
