A Note on This Beer
This beer is a pre-order! That means we haven’t received it yet. A couple things to know:
- This beer is scheduled to arrive in late December. If you don’t have an active crate, a new one will open as soon as your pre-ordered beer lands. Check the ‘Future’ tab on the ‘My Crate’ page of the app for updates.
- Most pre-order beers won’t be available for regular purchase. Now’s your only chance to get it!
The Beer:
This showstopper boasts an astronomical 4.75 on Tavour, is one of BeerAdvocate’s Top 5 American Imperial Stouts, and sits proudly in Untappd’s Top 15 Beers… period!
Calling Anchorage’s Blessed a bucket list beer doesn’t even cover it!
To craft it, the Alaskan legends aged a sumptuous Stout base for 20 Months in a blend of Willet and 15-yr 1792 Calumet Farm bourbon barrels. Then they finished the mix on Madagascar vanilla beans and both raw and toasted coconut.
Nuances of creamy cocoa and coconut anglaise should cascade through every sip. Anticipate a flavor like a bite of whiskey-soaked German chocolate cake drizzled with silky caramel. And this boozy treat boasts an enormous 15.5% ABV, making it one dangerously decadent dessert!
The last time we had this world-class Imperial Stout, it sold out in a mere two hours. So if you do manage to nab a bottle, becoming the envy of dark beer fans everywhere, consider yourself… blessed.
Rated 4.75 on the app!
The Brewery:
Hands down, Anchorage Brewing is one of the most sought after breweries when it comes to boozy Dark Beers, Hazy IPAs, and tangy mixed fermentation Ales. Outside of Alaska, their brews are notoriously hard to find and fans clamor to get their hands on bottles of the most coveted sippers, like Deal with the Devil, Time Waits for No One, and Endless Ending. Anchorage’s impressive list of collabs — with top craft breweries like Tired Hands, Mikkeller, Hill Farmstead, and Monkish — is enough to make any in-the-know craft lover go weak in the knees.
