A Note on This Beer
What I’m about to say will earn some haters, but here goes: today’s beer may be even better than Pliny the Younger.
Draft Mag listed it as a Must-Try Triple IPA if You Missed Pliny and with its palate-searing intensity and a head-spinning 10.5% ABV, I’ve gotta agree. After tasting Blimey That's Bitter from Reuben's Brews, don’t be surprised if you end up thinking, Pliny who?
This hopbomb’s bitterness and booziness go hand in hand, earning it a whopping 4.30 score on BA and legions of thirsty craft fans pounding down the Seattle’s brewery’s door. And somehow there’s still room in each sip for a tropical fruit uppercut and a candied orange peel hook!
Pine resin and bitter grapefruit rile up your tastebuds. The caramel-dunked 10.5% ABV almost feels like a reprieve until you drink it all the way down and feel the full force of pulverized mangos and tangerines from 90% late-addition dry hopping stomp across your tongue.
This Triple IPA makes it easy to draw a crowd. Tell your buds you’ve got an underground, even boozier rendition of Pliny and you’ll get mad finder’s credit!
