In 2017, Craft Beer & Brewing predicted the Milkshake IPA trend would continue to grow. Well, it didn’t just grow — the style has downright exploded!

If you’re wondering why Milkshake IPAs are dominating the craft scene, look no further than today’s Blissed Out.

The multi-GABF medalists at Wise Man Brewing packed this scrumptious sipper with real mango and tangerine, plus a silky layer of lactose. And that’s in addition to the brew’s already-juicy Citra and Motueka-hopped flavors and fluffy oat-filled body!

Each creamy sip brims with ripe mango and tangerine, punctuated with zesty grapefruit citrus notes on the finish. It’s like a freshly-blended Jamba Juice smoothie, only better because it boasts a buzzing 6.2% ABV!

If every Milkshake IPA was like this one, it’s possible the style would be even more insanely popular than it already is! But then we’d never get anything done — we’d all be too Blissed Out on lush, velvety hopjuice.

I got the tangerine flavor after it warmed up a bit. I know you usually dont let IPAs warm up, but it helped on this one.

Not a lot of mango to speak of but quite tasty nonetheless. Very refreshing, a bit tart, and tropical. Not overly sweet from the lactose either.

Not a ton of flavor, more bitter than most Milkshake IPAs but the velvety mouth feel is there, so more like a NEIPA
