About This Beer
Seattle’s Georgetown Brewing is obsessed with Point Break. Can you blame them? This 1991 cinematic masterpiece has it all — skydiving, surfing, Buddhism, and bank robbing!
So naturally, the largest independent brewery in Seattle named its Bodhizafa IPA as an homage to Swayze’s enlightened, adrenaline-junkie crime boss character, Bodhi.
Tasting Notes
This GABF gold medal winner is just as bold as its namesake. It blends Chinook, Citra, Mosaic, and Columbus Hops for a lip-smackingly classic West Coast profile of juicy, fruit-forward sips. Surf the waves of ripe pineapple and mandarin pulp as they crest over your tastebuds, and then wipe out with a delicious finish of tropical mango and dank pine.
But no matter how extreme Bodhizafa's waves get, it remains smooth. Thanks to the addition of rolled oats, the 6.9% ABV goes down in a silky, supple-bodied blaze of glory.
