About This Beer
The decorated Chicago brewers aged their silky rye malt base for over a year in WhistlePig The Boss Hog VIII rye whiskey barrels. Those French oak casks were first used to condition rich, Philippine rum before picking up even more luxe nuances from that world-class rye.
Tasting Notes
Give your glass a swirl, and aromas of charred sugar and malty toffee waft up to greet you. Each sip serves up layers of woodsy maple and vanilla nuances over hints of juicy ripe stone fruit and caramel waves. The rye character comes through with spiced cinnamon and nutmeg notes.
And on top of all that goodness, Boss Ryeway ripples with a strong but smooth 14.9% ABV.
