About This Beer
The brewers started with a double mash of Maris Otter malt, then boiled it for over six hours to draw out flavors of caramel and toffee. Then they aged the brew for over a year in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels, but they still weren’t satisfied. So they transferred it to fresh Heaven Hill bourbon barrels for another 14 months! Finally, they made it extra silky-smooth with a dose of vanilla.
Tasting Notes
Every luscious drop brings a flood of candied date and fudge, backed with bold barrel flavors of top shelf whiskey and woody oak tones. A whisper of barrel char on the back end balances the flavors, adding even more complexity to an already intricately flavored Barleywine.
